Speaking during a public announcement, Solly Msimanga emphasised the transition from opposition to government, declaring: \u201cWe are no longer a party of opposition. We are a party in government.\u201d He further stressed the need to make the DA \u201cthe biggest party and rescue South Africa from the corruption clause, from those that are not able to deliver for everybody.\u201d<\/p>\n
Msimanga connected efficient service delivery to economic opportunity, saying: \u201cWhen services go to the people, there are more jobs that are created. When jobs are created, people are able to live a comfortable life that they so wish.\u201d These remarks form part of the DA\u2019s drive to attract support in municipalities outside its traditional base, leveraging legislative initiatives and a public track record of municipal management.<\/p>\n
